A referendum is a vote in which residents are asked to decide on a specific proposal or issue. It gives the community the opportunity to have a say in important decisions that affect your local area. When a referendum is held, registered voters can cast their vote to either support or oppose the proposal. This non-partisan vote outcome helps guide decision-making and ensures that the voices of our residents are heard.
